Home visits across Stirling
Getting to a clinic isn't always easy, especially if you live in one of Stirlingshire's rural villages, don't drive, have limited mobility, or care for someone who finds appointments stressful. With JC Micro Suction, you don't need to go anywhere. Jackie brings professional ear cleaning equipment to your door and carries out the whole appointment in your own home.
It's a calm, unhurried visit that suits everyone, and it's especially helpful for older people, hearing aid users, and anyone with autism, dementia or additional needs who finds clinics difficult. Jackie has over 25 years of care experience and 3 years working alongside ENT specialists.

Ear wax usually clears on its own, but sometimes it builds up and causes problems. Common signs include:
Sounds seem quieter or muffled in one or both ears.
Your ear feels plugged, as if you've just stepped off a plane.
A dull ache, pressure or discomfort in the ear.
Ringing, buzzing or humming that isn't coming from outside.
An itchy ear canal that won't settle.
Whistling, feedback, or a hearing aid that doesn't seem to work as well as it should.
Please note: if you have sudden hearing loss, severe pain, discharge or bleeding from the ear, or a high temperature, contact your GP or call NHS 24 on 111 rather than booking ear wax removal.
Many people search for ear syringing because it's what GP surgeries used to offer. Today, many GP practices no longer provide routine ear wax removal, and availability varies from practice to practice.
Jackie doesn't use syringing. She uses microsuction, a modern, water-free method that gently removes wax while she looks closely inside your ear. It's suitable for most people aged 10 and over, including many who can't have water irrigation, and Jackie always checks your ears first.

Do you do home visits for ear wax removal in Stirling?
Yes. Every appointment is a home visit. Jackie comes to your home, a relative's home, or a care home in Stirling, Clackmannanshire and the surrounding villages, at no extra cost.
Can I get free ear wax removal on the NHS in Stirling?
Some GP practices still remove ear wax in certain cases, but many no longer offer it routinely, so it's worth checking with your own practice. If it isn't available, or you'd rather not wait, Jackie can visit you at home.
Do you offer ear syringing in Stirling?
No. Jackie uses microsuction, which removes wax with gentle suction rather than water. It's a modern alternative to ear syringing and suits many people who can't have water irrigation.
